In 1566 a son was born to Mary Queen of Scots - James VI to be, within the castle. Today, you can see the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny - on which the Kings of Scots were crowned throughout the ages.. Today, even a whole day visiting the Castle would not do it justice. Entry for those with disabilities is possible via courtesy vehicles, ramps and a lift.
