PEOPLE planning their Christmas parties are being invited to book a seat at one of Edinburgh's oldest and most prestigious venues. Edinburgh Castle is advertising the Queen Anne Building for office parties and other groups. Historic Scotland's chefs are preparing a menu of Scottish-inspired cuisine. Places are available throughout December, except on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Elizabeth Strain, Historic Scotland's catering contracts manager, said: "We are delighted with the success of what is fast becoming a tradition here in Edinburgh Castle and look forward to welcoming some new faces this year." Barbara Smith, executive manager of Edinburgh Castle, said: "The Castle is such a beautiful and unique location and the Queen Anne building itself has such a refined ambience, that any meal or event here is just that little bit more special."
